30 DAY TRASH CHALLENGE:
For 30 consecutive days we will keep a log of all of the trash we generate! We will photo-document or write down EVERYTHING!
We will write it all down in and keep track of where it all is going AND where it should be going. Our categories include the trash, the compost bin, the recycling bin, or Terracycle. We will also note changes of habits or hearts that we notice. The purpose of this challenge is to make you mindful every time you decide to automatically throw something out and force yourself to ask: is there an alternative to the landfill? Also, every week when the garbage for your home or apartment is collected please take a photo that clearly displays the quantity of landfill bound waste generated. Weigh it if you feel so inclined. Also, open the garbage bags and write down, or photograph, what is inside. Can any of the contents be diverted from the landfill? Please note down your reaction and your changes in your mindset or behavior that you notice over the course of this challenge.

Find below a compelling and enthralling slideshow of some of the trash I generated over the past 15 days. I found it very difficult to photo-document all waste I generated. However, by being hyper-conscious of my trash production I was able to be more mindful of ways in which to divert items from the landfill.
