In this course, students will use experimentation and inquiry to explore the basic concepts of biological science. All aspects of life will be investigated, including cellular structure, structure and function of plants and animals, genetics, concepts of evolution, the diversity and adaptations of living organisms, principles of classification, and ecological relationships. This course is recommended for students who wish to attend a UC school or major in science. This course meets the life science graduation requirement. **Students taking this course for UC credit must follow the guidelines listed on the Course Description Form.
